Because of a few limited situations in the last election where someone came to vote on Election Day and they were told that their ballot had already been cast, we encourage you to vote in-person early to prevent this. In addition, if you request an absentee ballot by mail, there are drop boxes available at your precinct location, but we discourage you from using these because of a broken chain of custody and risk of theft to your ballot.
Primary Election Day will be held on June 8, 2021.
All other Lynchburg precincts are within Del. Wendell Walker’s (website) district. He was unchallenged in the Republican primary. Only the Democrats will be holding a statewide primary across all precincts and are choosing their side of the ticket for the statewide general election this fall. Republican statewide candidates will be chosen by convention. The general election will be held on Nov 2, 2021.
If you have any further questions, please reply with them to this email.
